Ok so since there's very little to do at this stage, ive decided to start doing monthly events. Each event will reward participants according to performance and won't require a finished character. This month Iron country will be holding a Clash of Samurai tournament. Each participant will be using a samurai with 8 stat points in all fields that uses one of three pre-made styles. All samurai will be using boken, and points will be awarded for successful strikes until a combatant reaches 5. the winner of this tournament will be awarded 500 eexp and the first rounds should be up by the 16th or 17th. Samurai styles Eishen Name: Eishin • Single Draw Block Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Defense. Description: A basic Eishin technique that utilizes reactionary senses and is often taught to the point that it comes as second nature when intercepting attacks; by leaning back and yanking their hand up the user of this technique is able to use reflexes and speed to bring the edge of their blade up in front of an oncoming solid attack. This technique is often the preferred drawing motion of many Eishin practitioners allowing them to transition from defense to offense very quickly.
Name: Eishin • Draw Fangs Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Attack Description: After drawing their sword, the user of this technique quickly closes on the opponent and then performs a simple slash by the pivot of their wrist, producing an effective feint. If this attack connects, the user may twist their hand and strike again to make up for the somewhat weaker overall damage compared to a normal thrust.
Name: Eishin • Drawing Clash Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Description: Against an advancing target, the user quickly draws their sword horizontally, stopping the blade mid-draw in front of them. Then, placing their hand on the sword's hilt, they push forward. As the attack collides with the moving target, the techniques power will turn the opponent's own inertia against them, amplifying the damage. The user requires greater strength than the target's approaching speed to accomplish the effects successfully.
Name: Eishin • Drawn Spiral Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Attack Description: After drawing their blade, the user will quickly pivot on their heel as they hold the sword out, creating a spiral motion. The blade's angle and the centrifugal force of the pivot allow the user to cut a clean circle around them, often by followed up by a secondary slash pushed in the opposite direction.
Name: Eishin • Drawn Claw Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Attack Description: Drawing their blade, the user pushes off the ground, pivoting into a flip in the air horizontally. With the user's own weight combined with the weight of the sword, the user's torque and spinning velocity increases. This creates a spiraling slash aimed at a single foe or object with heavy power, capable of breaking stone with proper strength.
Name: Eishin • Ghost Draw Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Description: A feint technique requiring above average dexterity the user draws their sword with one hand and raises the other then literally 'shoots' his sword out of the sheath by hooking two fingers on the guard of the blade and snapping it up before catching it with the previously free hand. This draw happens in a matter of heartbeats and is considered the fastest drawing technique among Eishin users allowing them to not only confuse foes but immediately defend or switch to heavy offense depending on the situation.
Iaido Name: Iaido • Swift Draw Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Supplementary Description: With the most widely recognized attack of Iaido style, the user draws their katana at a very quick speed, making a powerful slash in tangent with the draw. This technique is dependent on the user's overall reaction speed as it is usually only used when an opening presents itself or when the user needs to draw their sword quickly.
Name: Iaido • Block Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Defense Description: A technique developed out of need to protect himself from other weapon users, Block is simple in its use, but highly effective when used right. By partially drawing their sword, the user of this technique is able to use the back of their blade to block incoming weapon attacks should they time it correctly. The user must be careful when using this technique, should the attacker have a high enough strength, this technique could very well shatter the user's weapon.
Name: Iaido • Reverse Stab Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Attack Description: By gripping their blade, the user draws their sword as if a dagger in an earth facing grip, but instead of attacking a target in front of them they will turn their sword mid-swing in an attempt to stab a target that is behind them.
Name: Iaido • Limb Remover Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Attack Description: Crouching low while gripping his sword, the user will quickly draw their blade and aim its strike for the shaft of a long bone. With the knowledge that the direct center of the bone is its weakest, the user (should they have a strength stat two points higher than the foe) can cut cleanly through an undefended area. Should they have a strength stat equal to the target, the bone can merely fracture. If weaker, it will merely cut the overlaying superficial tissues.
Name: Iaido • Cutting The Eyes Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Attack Description: A simple, yet very effective technique, Cutting The Eyes is a Line Draw aimed at the target's eyes. The user attempts to horizontally slash the target's eyes in order to remove their eyesight.
Name: Iaido • Double Back Draw Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Attack Description: The technique realizes the concept of a draw's momentum increasing attack speed rather than the technique of drawing itself. With this concept, the user draws their weapon and then makes an upwards slash followed by a second downward slash, and then an immediate re-sheath. This causes two deep diagonal cuts in the direction of the draw and re-sheath that happen near instantaneously.
Shinden Name: Shinden • Stream Splitting Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Attack Description: Lifting their sword above their head the user of this technique drives it down in one fluid motion with their blade aimed to slash through or into whatever they are attacking. The force of this technique is amplified by the fact that their stance is aimed to enhance muscle tension and torque, allowing them to make the single slash a very powerful one.
Name: Shinden • Branch Cleaver Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Attack Description: While the basic techniques of Shinden revolve around heavy slashes from standing positions this technique is about harnessing the same destructive potential while moving. Rushing at a foe quickly, the user slashes in a downward motion in order to maintain momentum. The sword is typically swung from right to left or from left to right instead of straight down, the attack usually stopping at waist level to keep from potentially stumbling. While less destructive than some Shinden techniques, it still retains utility in battles of movement.
Name: Shinden • Fake Out Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Attack Description: A technique designed to interrupt foes; the user pulls their hands up on their sword to expose more of the hilt while in typical Shinden stance. Once an opponent comes within range, the user yanks the hilt down in a smashing manner against the foe or a similar target. Afterwards, the user follows with a less damaging downward slash at a foe, making this effective for surprise purposes.
Name: Shinden • Grass Cutter Rank: D Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Defense. Description: With a stance shift, the user quickly draws their weapon to their waist with the blade facing away from their body. The user then delivers a quick and brutal horizontal thrust forward, followed by a slice, inspiring its name by cutting down unwary opponents. The technique is defensive in nature, allowing the user to guard with the intent to counter.
Name: Shinden • Grounding Blade Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Attack Description: The user slams the blade of their sword into the ground and then slashes sideways creating a fairly deep deep crater, around five inches, in the ground in front of them, kicking up a splash of rocks and dust to blind and harry foes. The user then lunges into their foe with an attempt to knock them over or slash at their legs. Foes with at least equal Strength to the user can avoid being knocked over and can maintain ground, preventing the follow-up slash.
Name: Shinden • Aerial Saw Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type:Attack Description:Leaping up off the ground in any Shinden stance, the user draws their blade down and creates a powerful overhead slash which doubles as a defensive movement, the user capable of moving the sword to displace weight and momentum to change direction if needed. With this technique, the user can also form heavy slashes on uneven or unstable terrain without dependency on solid ground.

Well this was a fail, event officially closed. Any participants that posted in their thread shall be awarded 500eexp to any character they choose. Both rounds are considered a draw due to unexpected glitches in the space-time continuum. @_@ What does this mean for Shinobi Battlefield? That exiting new things are on the horizon of course! I hope to launch our first official Global Arc by the end of February. So I'm issuing a challenge to all members of SB past, present, and future to make a character in either the Akatski or their competition (which has yet to be officially made so if anyone wants to they can make a major org, if they claim it before I make it. Everything will be on a first come first serve basis so let this resurgence begin and happy hunting! =>
